What is a therapy session with me like?

What to expect in therapy?
- We’ll work at your pace with clear goals. Sessions are 50 minutes, and frequency is usually weekly or as you need.
- In the first session, we’ll talk about what you want to get out of therapy, any boundaries or safety considerations, and a plan for our work together.
- Confidentiality is my foundation, with clear boundaries and a discussion upfront about any limits or safety concerns.
- You’ll have a practical, collaborative approach: we’ll identify concrete steps and check in on progress as we go.
What would I talk about?
What you might talk about (topics clients bring)
- Anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions.
- Identity questions, LGBTQ+ experiences, and neurodiverse considerations.
- Everyday stress, habitual patterns, and ways to cope with difficult feelings.

How I work with you
- Person-centered pace
- You drive the pace and the space. If you need a pause, a breather, or to move things around in the room, that’s welcome.
- A space that feels safe and inclusive
- I’m LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse affirmative, with a commitment to cultural sensitivity and ethical practice.
- Practical, collaborative stance
- Therapy here is a partnership: we set concrete goals, explore practical steps, and check in on progress regularly.
